Natalia Juncadella

Natalia Juncadella

Natalia Juncadella (b.1992) currently lives and works in Miami. With a focus in painting and graphic design, she attended the University of Pennsylvania and received a BA in Fine Arts. Her visual language takes inspiration from everyday objects in intimate interiors, providing viewers a source of reflection and contemplation about life in moments.

Influenced by her Latin background and vivid colour combinations seen in the works of Matisse, Jonas Wood, and Lois Dodd, Juncadella emphasizes on lights and shadows as an exercise of living in the present. In her practice, she tends to work on layering shapes and images over each other through both hand drawn sketching and Photoshop, allowing her to create different combinations that can be translated to the canvas.

Her solo exhibitions include ‘Entre La Sombra’ at Hashimoto Contemporary (New York,NY, 2022) and ‘Natalia Juncadella’ at SLATE Contemporary (Oakland, CA, 2021). Her work has been exhibited in group shows including ‘Lush’, ‘Potluck’ and ‘Buscando Recuerdos’ at Hashimoto Contemporary (2021-2022), at the Alberto Linero Gallery (Miami, FL, 2017) and ‘Concerning the Spiritual in Abstract Art’ at Matter & Light Fine Art Gallery (Boston, MA, 2016).
